Disabling MembershipPro in stages was created by Alan Henness
I run the membership database for a charity, but we expect to close sometime soon.

Once we finally close down, I can completely delete the tables in the database and delete the extension

In the meantime, I can stop new members from signing up (by removing the {membershipplans ids="*"} shortcode from the joining page), but I also want to stop all renewals and reminder emails being sent out and any recurring payments from being collected - but I still want to have admin access to the subscriptions until we finally close.

How do I do that? What extensions/plugins do I need to disable? Would unpublishing the "PayPal, credit or debit card" payment plugin stop recurring payments from being collected?

Hi Philip

No, it does not set the limit. Usually, the limit is handled by mail server of hosting provider. So if you sends mass mail to too many subscriptions at a time, it might not be delivered properly

Replied by Tuan Pham Ngoc on topic payment via mollie - understanding "webhooks"
Hi Heike

- Webhook is already implemented by the payment plugin. It is a way for the payment gateway to inform Membership Pro about payment, so that Membership Pro will know about it, update status of subscription record, sending emails....You do not have to worry about it

- About payment failure reason, Yes, it is not displayed at the moment. We could not detect the reason yet, will see if we can handle that better in the future

Replied by Tuan Pham Ngoc on topic redirecting wrong after eMail-confirmation
Hi Heike

The login is handled by Joomla, so Yes, if there is no specific configuration, users will be redirected to Joomla user profile page

You can change the behavior by creating a menu item to link to Membership Pro user profile

Then on the login (module or menu item), set Login Redirect parameter to the menu item which you created to link to Membership Pro user profile and it will work

Tuan

redirecting wrong after eMail-confirmation was created by Heike Palmer
Hello Tuan,

next problem

After klicking on the link in the mail-confirmationmail
i come to a site where membership pro will show the succses. (attachment 1)

Then you can directly enter your username and password to login to the site.
But you came only to this site where you can see your profile and the option for changing this.
But it is from joomla, not from membership pro (see attachment 3).

How can i change this?
Wont that users can go directly to the mediathek after login in on this confirmation site.

I´m helpless

Thanx for helping me!

Heike

payment via mollie - understanding "webhooks" was created by Heike Palmer
Hello Tuan,

i have switched from stripe to mollie for payments.

whats about the "webhook"-thing here?
is it implemented allready?
Do i have to do anything with it?
because in the api-log on mollie is a webhook in the transaction-report."redirectUrl": "https://xxxmydomainxxx
.de/test1/subscription-complete.html?subscription_code=GnScfYsUriUNRWDQ", "webhookUrl": " www.xxxmydomainxxx.de/index.php?option=c...ment_method=os_ideal "

And the reason for failing was not provided to the returnpage.

"failureReason": "insufficient_funds",
"failureMessage": "Ihre Karte hat nicht genügend Guthaben um den Kauf abzuschließen."

It was only displayed "payment not sucssesful" or so.
Guess it was from membership pro, not from mollie.I have done it in live-mode in the plugin and on mollie.
The payment failure with this card was right .
But membership pro send the eMailadress-confirmationmail bevor the transaction was completed or failed. So the costumer can activate the mailadress but payment is not completed or sucsessful.

Do i something wrong?

Is the setting "create account only with active/approved Membership" wrong?
(see attachment)Membership pro makes me crazy but i like it because if you know how it works it will be great

Have also done a succesful live-payment with a other card.

But then...i had an other problem.
will write it to the next topic.

Thanks for helping me!

Heike

Thanks. I can see the e-mail in the log. I think it’s just the lack of the pop-up notification that you get when you renew that confuses me.

Hi Seán

When you publish a subscription record, the system will send subscription approved email to the subscriber to inform them about it. It is controlled by subscription_approved_email_subject and subscription_approved_email_body

Could you please check it again? Maybe access to Tools - Emails Log to see if that email logged? Or maybe subscription_approved_email_subject is empty?

Offline payment: which option sends an e-mail was created by Seán Ó Séaghdha
For people who choose to pay by Bank Transfer or some method that sets the plan to Pending, I’m never sure which way of updating the plan will send the correct e-mail. Just editing and changing Pending to Active doesn’t seem to do it and setting the plan to Published seems to be the same. Using Renew from the Actions menu definitely sends an e-mail, but can also update a membership with an extra year!
How can I make sure that people get an e-mail to say their payment has been processed and their plan is active?

Admin created subscription has no dates was created by Seán Ó Séaghdha
This is an issue I run into regularly because we have some members who will just do a bank transfer (& maybe send us an e-mail) and expect us to add it to the website ourselves.
When I create a subscription for an existing user/subscriber, the dates are all blank and I have to look them up and input them manually. Shouldn’t these be set from the Plan like they are when the user adds a subscription? It’s very tedious doing this all the time and could lead to errors.

That is not right. If you configured correctly, user account will be activated automatically when their subscription become active, mean you do not have to activate user account for users who use PayPal for payment
