Any advice apprecaited.

Hi David
We haven't looked at this yet. Honestly, I am not sure what need to be implemented to cover this requirement
There is a PR in Joomla core try to deal with this law, I will try to look at it during this weekend to see whether we need to do the same thing in Membership Pro
Regards,
Tuan

I have put some links below that help
I am thinking about 'consent' at the moment, which has to be separate from general terms and conditions. I can see a need for at least two and probalby three parallel consents to cover say TaC, data processing, email corresppondance. Some may need more. Can all be done with custom fields but better if it is integrated.
There is also a need to trace the consent by date and be able to produce records.
Have a look at
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/153-profession...-support-for-eu-gdpr
and
ico.org.uk/media/about-the-ico/consultat...sultation-201703.pdf

I help run a members club where all records are held through membership pro even if they join using a paper form.
What we have done is create custom fields on the database to record separate specific consents for communication by email, telephone or post.
We use acymailing as the main method of communication with members - membership pro is configured to automatically populate the user lists but I have to update this manually to remove the member where they have declined email consent - it would be great if this could be automated.
We would also like the membership list to be presented "blank" ie with no records displayed - information would only be presented as the result of a search eg by entering the search box with a membership number or name.

Hi Tuan Pham Ngoc, have you thought about integrating this plugin:
www.joomlart.com/blog/joomla-extensions/...oomla-gdpr-extension ?
For EU citizen this new law is Essential.

Hello
Yes. That's one of the option I am thinking about. Still need more time to find out exactly what needs to be implemented to fully support that requirement (including one option from Joomla core as proposed here github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/20051

Tuan

I bought the GDPR (
storejextensions.org/extensions/gdpr.html
) component and this has already solved the privacy policy integration for OS Membership PRO

Hi Marius
Thanks for sharing the information. Maybe you can give us a quick description how it works with Membership Pro?

Tuan,
Not sure if you are a member of the official Joomla Facebook group but on the off chance that you are not, I thought that I would post this anyway.
They seem to be moving in the right direction, alebit a little later than would have been ideal but still positive for the future with any Joomla Users (Site Admins, Dev's etc)
Anyway, they are looking into the +'s & -'s of creating some Privacy Tools within the core of Joomla, you may want to take a look at the GitHub page for this project and get the lowdown of what they are thinking, agreeing or disagreeing on and then position MembershipPro around this?
github.com/joomla-projects/privacy-framework
I'm sure that you wouldn't want to create various hours of work on things within MembershipPro, only to find out it ends up in the core. Of course there may still be elements that need to be provided within MPro anyway but atleast by getting to know what is happening by contributing to the discussion on the above link, you will be well positioned going forward - whatever route MPro takes.
