Just one point, if you have multiple plans, don't forget to put your free plan parameters into the Subscription Control Settings for each plan. it is not a global setting.

Thanks David for the clarification. After activating the plugin I have seen the "Subscription Control Settings" tab activate in each subscription plan. I have 5 active paid plans every year. Now I have set the plugin options for each plan. This new plugin arrived just in time as in a few weeks I would have to switch subscribers from paid to free subscriptions using mysql.

Is it possible to switch users from a free plan which expires on a certain date to a recurring paid plan? When I tried this I had to manually send out a payment request. When the payment was made the paid plan was Active but it didn't appear to be a recurring subscription.

That's not possible. Payment request is used to allow users to make payment for a single transaction/payment, it could not be used for recurring subscription

For recurring subscription, users will need to subscribe for the plan and make payment directly from there
