Great to hear!
Please try to make it open ended, so that people can pay portions. For travel, where a deposit is needed far in advance, this is important. Many people want to pay something per month as well.
So, whenever someone logs in to make a payment, it should show their current balance and allow them to pay any amount towards the final balance.
It would be nice if it also showed payment history, but I would like that to be a separate option that could be added to a "user menu", rather than something that automatically comes on the payment screen.

Hi Tuan,
+1 from me for this feature. Seems similar to the request in the thread I started, which would allow a waiting list person to receive an email with a link allowing them to pay to convert to registered. joomdonation.com/forum/events-booking-ge...on-waiting-list.html Having a similar mechanism for somebody to pay the reaminder of a partial payment in a similar way would be superb!
Is this still on your roadmap?
I can't really figure out how to use the deposit feature as you describe, i.e. change payment from partial to full when somebody pays the remainder. Unfortunately, the partial payment/full payment fields isn't exported to the CSV, so is limited ( we use spreadsheets for attendance management on the day of the events). If one person has paid only the deposit, and one person has paid the deposit and the remainder, they look exactly the same in the CSV export. Is it possible to customise what fields are exported to the csv, i.e. export the Payment Status field (0=partial, 1 = Full)?
Regards,
D

Hi Tuan,
I'd appreciate some feedback to the questions above?
We're just about to use the Deposit Amount, but I don't know how we're going to be able to use it effectively, when it comes time to accept the remainder of the payment, if the Payment Status field isn't exported.
Ideal solution is having an intelligent system for paying the remainder of the transaction, as described earlier in the thread, anything else results in tons of unnecessary administration work and is a bookkeeping nightmare.
Regards,
Donal

+1 on multi-payment. Would love to see a link on Invoice and Reminder Email for "make a payment"!

Strengthening the payment processing will definitely elevate Event Booking's ranking on Joomla, and make it stand out.
I like the idea of being able to embed links in the reminder emails.
Obviously I would like it to be able to handle multiple partial payments <smile>.
Also, the export to CSV/Excel option could include information about the most recent reminder email (date and time last one was sent, date and time next one is scheduled to be sent, tracking to see if user opened the email). Tracking is fairly easy if you embed a small image, such as a small star, check mark, etc. as that can be used to see if the user opened the email.
A good tutorial would be helpful as well. I would be glad to help with that.
