Feedback on Waiting List

Hi,
we've been using 2.0.4 for a while now, and have had active waiting lists for the past couple of weeks, and have the following feedback...
1) There appears to be a bug in the "Resend Email" functionality. A mail got returned to us because the email address was entered incorrectly by the user. It was obvious what the problem was, so I fixed the email address in the back end, and resent the email. However, a "Registration Confirmation" email got sent instead of the "Waitinglist confirmation email subject", which led to a lot of confusion and the need for clarification with the customer.
2) We find dealing with the waiting list not perfect. At the moment, our workflow when a place becomes available, is to make the space available in the back end, and then text everybody on the waiting list that a space is available. They then need to race against the other customers on the waiting list (and other potential customers not on the waiting list) to reregister.
2.1) With the current implementation, somebody not on the waiting list could easily get the place if they happen to be on our website at the right time. This isn't exactly fair, and could lead to customer dissatisfaction.
2.2) At the moment, users need to reenter all of their details, despite having already entered their details for the waiting list. This puts users who want to register a group at a disadvantage.
Suggestion: Ideally, spaces could be marked as waiting list only for a specified period of time. The relevant waiting list customers could then be selected in the back end, and an email sent out to them by the system. This email would contain a link to a form prepopulated with all of their details, allowing them to simply edit any details, if necessary, and complete the payment. If after the specified period of time, nobody on the waiting list has taken the space, the place reverts to an "Open to everybody" space.
2.3) If an event is full, then, on the day of the event, it is not possible to join the Waiting List, instead a message "We are no longer accepting registrations for this event" is shown. We offer 12 week terms of 1 hour a week clubs in multiple locations. Today's club may be full, but we still want to collect information from people who are interested in attending our club in the future (we use this information for filling future terms as quickly as possible). If they happen to log on today, they will more than likely not come back, in the off chance that we will accept bookings again. Ideally, people will be able to join a waiting list always. For now, I will change the text of the message.
That is our feedback. Please don't get mistaken, the Waiting List is a superb feature of your excellent event booking system! We simply feel it could work a little better.
