How to complete a partial payment

I have an event with a 33% deposit feature.

How does the user/registrant pay the remainder?

I cannot see anything that will allow the user to come back to the site and pay the remaining 2/3 payment required.

Also, I couldn't find anything on the documentation pages about this.

Users will need to pay for the remaining amount manually, not via the extension. Maybe they can pay for you by bank transfer, or pay by cash when they come and attend the event

After you receive the remaining payment, you can edit the record, mark Payment Type to full payment...

That reminds me. There's no way to change a user record from "Full Payment" to "Partial Payment".

I had case where I needed to do this because of the wrong amount in the event description.

This is a really big feature hole (missing feature), in my opinion. I hope you can add it sometime soon.

For travel sites, where the cost can be high, and the event is 2 or 3 months in the future, this is needed.

Tuan, do you plan on providing the option that a User can make a final payment through Events Booking? At this point I don't see how the down payment option is usable since the final payment option would have to be manually performed by the client as well the site administrator - too easy to make a mistake especially when dealing with money.

I hope more people ask for the feature, as I could really use it, and it's almost a mandatory feature for any high priced event, especially in the travel business. Ideally, something that allowed at least 2 or 3 partial payment steps AND a final payment in full step.

I will think about it. However, if we have support for this feature, we can only have two steps :

1. One is for paying deposit amount at the time they register for the event

2. And another step to pay remaining amount

I could definitely use the 2 step payment process! At this point I can only use a full payment at time of booking.

A HUGE +1 on this feature from me.

My clients have been using the module for 3 or 4 years and I'm getting ready to have to move them to DT Register instead for this feature.

They would like the ability to receive deposits at the time of booking and then need a way for users to log back in and make additional payments for the remaining amount. Offline payments for the balance is not a good solution.

Crossing my fingers this is added soon. Keep up the good work!

I would really like to have this feature as well. What I'm doing in the short term is set up a separate event with a name like "complete payment for main event" that has the pricing be the balance due amount. This allows for pay deposit with paypal & balance with authorize.net, for example, as well as completing the payment online. But I still have to update the records manually, and it would be good to be able to have this automated (also to make sure that the correct amounts get allocated to the correct person).

Nice idea. With the change to the waiting list handle from version 1.7.0, I think making payment for remaining payment amount is not so difficult and we can implement it. Give me sometime to implement this feature (could not promise exactly time for now, but I will try my best to do it ASAP)
