No access to downloads was created by Plotec
Hi,
i bought edocman today and installed it on my site. It's Joomla 3.2.2
1) I created a category, a subcategory and a document and don't have acces to it a t the frontend.
The permissions are all set to public, on category level, on subcategory level on document level and on component level.
If I press the download button the following message is displayed: "You are not allowed to perform this action".
If I press the Details button, a message says I have to login....after login and press the details button a message "Invalid Document or you are not allowed to view that document" is displayed.
2) I don't want to have the upload button on the frontend, how can I hide it? Don't find and option for it.

As replied via support ticket, we need to have access to your site to check your settings and make sure it is all correct. So please reply me via support ticket so that we can check it further.

Hi Tuan,
i don't feel really good to give some foreign person admin access to a website for security reasons. I know that it's more comfortable for you but what if you would install a backdoor or something? Call me paranoid but it's a real danger.
Nevertheless, I installed the extension on an other fresh Joomla site and it's the same problem so it can't be a problem in the installation.
As I said, I installed your extension and configured NOTHING with permissions. Everything is on default state. Maybe it's your extension at all.

Hi
How about a test site ? Could you arrange a test site ?
Or you send me a copy of your fresh Joomla installation so that I can check all of the settings you make ?

Or maybe you export just the database of the fresh Joomla install which you created categories/documents...so that I can import this database to my test site and check the settings/setup you make ?

Could we please arrange a Skype chat to solve the issue ? Trust me, the extension does works and works well. I am sure that it is just something in the settings causing the issue.
My Skype nickname is tuanpnves in case you contact me .

Sorry for the delay, much work. I don't have skype at work but I have the database file of a fresh Joomla 3.2.2 installation with only edocman installed. I created the categories and subcategories as well as 2 sample documents.
It's the same problem with this fresh installation as with the production site as described in the previous posts from me.
Caution: I replaced the login parameters _users with crap.

Thanks Tuan,
i know you will do your best. That is works, I can see at the demo page but I wonder why it doesn't work on 3 different installations for me.
Otherwise I wonder why no other user has this problems at all.
P.S
I'm an experienced Joomla user for years and no noob.
