Any news on the bulk upload feature?
It would be great to have this soon.

Hi Simon
The feature is now available in download package. You can simply download latest version from Orders History , install it to your site and you will be ready to use this feature .

Hi Tuan,
Great, downloaded nd installed. I will test it later.
Perhaps for the future, a file browser to upload and a Folder/Category creation facility?
I will not need it this time but a useful feature perhaps?
Regards

Hi Tuan,
All tested. After a little confusion I got it working.
To save a little time for others here is what I did:
Via FTP I created my Category folders and uploaded the documents into the correct folder
In edocman config, I left the set doc path to /edocman (default)
set 'Choose file from Server
In edocman I created my categories
In Bulk Import:
Select the folder which now shows the new folders on the server
Select the Category where you want the documents inported
Click on Import, go to Documents and set as published.
Voila!!!
Thanks again for this feature

@rnomis : There was small fix in Bulk Import feature which I just added to the download package. Please download latest version and upgrade it to your site again. After that, run the import again and you will get a perfect result (Forgot to store data into one field name in database before) .
And if it is possible, please help me by giving the extension a 5 stars rating and a nice review at extensions.joomla.org/extensions/directo...tion/downloads/18008 to support my development (very important to me and to my business :)) .

Tuan

Great, works fine.
Just one thing though.
I have 3 levels of access for my Categories: Admin, Staff and Parents.
Some categories (and documents in this category) need to be seen by Parents and above, some by Staff and above and some just by Admin
I can set permissions on the Categories to a particular group i.e. Staff but then the category can't be seen by Admin.
Can the access permissions be modified to include those with higher permissions?
Still 5 STARS however
Would be great to have a search facility as well so users could find a file quickly. Oops! already there!

Hi Tuan,
Not sure if you can help me.
The Joomla 2.5 standard search module allows searching in the whole site.
I would like to restrict the search just to documents uploaded in edocman.
Do you have any idea how I can remove the other options:
Categories
Newsfeeds
Weblinks etc?
Hacking the php file would be an option but no idea where to start.
Thanks
Simon
OK, found it. Plugin Manager has options to turn off searching to other modules.

Hi, how are you?
I am going to develop a joomla website (2.5) and I am looking for a component to manage invoices with 500 users. I need to drop 4-5 invoices/month to each user and I would like to do it "automatically" (uploading all the invoices to the server and after a csv or similar with the user-invoice correspondence). Does your software do it possible? or do you have to do a script to do it?
Thanks!
regards
Juan

Hi Juan
The solution would be wirting a plugin which run the import process automatically (everyday), scan a folder (which you uploaded documents to) , import it into EDocman .
That would take us about one day of working (the filename of the invoice must follow a specific rule so that we can assign the invoice to the correct user) and you will need to pay us 100$ for this development .
Hope that will be Ok for you !
