Support request: Single registration for multi‑session / multi‑day events

Thank you for the reply, i already thought that. Overrides are a bit cumbersome, especially at the times of updates. and, we have to change quite a bit, since the detailpage shows the prices of the mainevent again. maybe the worse solution with manually mentioning the other dates in the short description field is the better one - if the customer accepts that.

There is one problem more to this workaround. the calendar exportfiles even now dont handle this additional dates - so, this is kind of a bug right?

the whole multi-day event thing would be a good future feature for this otherwise great komponent.

Could you please explain more details about the calendar exportfiles issue? This is not clear to me

i am not totally sure about the functionality of the additional dates. it's just a shortcut for copying events quickly in my opinion. defining my reply about the calendar exports: when you hide the additonal dates/events in the upcoming list you can only see them on the details-page of the main event. downloading the calendar-file there just deliveres the main-event in the file. all the additional dates are missing in this export.

i am sorry, maybe i get it totally wrong but it seems we cannot use this plugin/feature for out multipart-event-request.
1) we need to show all dates in the upcoming event listentry of the mainevent (the additional dates)
2) the event including the main-event+additional dates have ONE price
3) the calendar exort should deliver all days and times for import to a client calendar

1 and 2 we can maybe solve with overrides but the calendar-export is to much effort. thinking about overrides and all the work after each future update of the solution has a bad taste.

Don't get me wrong, i quite like the component - it's great in many ways. it just seems our request for multipart events is sadly not possible with it.

Yes. Additional Dates plugin is designed mainly to allow creating multiple instances of main event quicker. But it is not just that, it allows display all dates on parent event details page and from there, users can choose to register for the date they want. That's all it does

For your use-case, if you do not want to implement override to have it works, then create only one event is the only solution

For calendar export, could you please explain more details about it. It still not clear to me exactly what kind of export you are talking about and where we can export that

my note about the calendar‑export issue is related to the multi‑day event requirement. The way the Additional Dates plugin works actually fits perfectly with the single‑date iCal export. So this is not a bug — I simply misunderstood how the plugin functions.
We’ll try to adjust things a bit via an override and see how far we can get.
