Cache extension for Joomla - OSP was created by Theodor
Hello.
Our server has Varnish Cache system , by enabling the site is going ultra fast BUT, the home page which has the new listings from OSP its not updating if we add new listings, the prices are not changing when we change them in the properties pages, the descriptions also .
So I am asking if there is an extension at Joomla Extension which works well with OSP and exclude those parts ?
Thanks

Hi,
The issue is caused by Varnish full-page cache.
When Varnish is enabled, it can cache the whole HTML output of the page before Joomla/OS Property has a chance to render the latest data again. So even if the new properties, prices, or descriptions are already updated correctly in the database, visitors may still see the old cached version of the homepage or property pages.
To solve this, there are two possible approaches:
1. Exclude OS Property -related pages from Varnish cache
Your server/hosting administrator can configure Varnish to bypass cache for OS Property pages, for example property listing pages, property detail pages, and possibly the homepage if it displays new listings from OS Property.
2. Purge Varnish cache when a property is added or updated
This is the better approach if you want to keep the speed benefit of Varnish. In this case, Varnish should be configured to clear/purge the affected cached pages whenever a property is added, updated, unpublished, or its price/description is changed.
This is usually handled at the server/Varnish configuration level rather than directly inside OS Property. A Joomla cache extension may help in some cases, but it may not know exactly which OS Property pages need to be refreshed after a property update, so the server-side Varnish rules are still important.
I recommend asking your hosting/server administrator to either exclude the OS Property URLs from Varnish cache or configure automatic cache purging for the related pages.

Dam
