Grace Period and Recurring Plans was created by Alan Bennett
How is the grace Period used with recurring plans paid by Stripe? My take is it should be ignored but maybe it isn't. I have grace period set to 20 days to cater for delayed offline payments on none recurring plans.
If this is an issue then maybe grace period should be at plan level instead of being a global setting.

Hi Alan
Grace Period is just a way to give subscriptions extra days for active duration. For example, if you set Grace Period to 10 days and end date for an subscription is 20 Jan 2026. Normally, on that date, status of the subscription will be changed to expired, but with grace period set to 10 days, it will only be expired on 30 Jan 2026 if the subscription is not renewed before
In case recurring subscription, normally, payment gateway will process payment and renewal on time, so Grace Period won't have any effect (or you can say that it is ignored)
Regards,
Tuan

If the member or the administrator cancels a recurring plan then will the grace period be used to extend thevactive membership by the number of configured days?

Hi Alan
I don't know how someone would cancel a recurring plan? Or you meant cancel a recurring subscription of the user?
If the subscription is cancelled, it will only prevents the subscription from continue being renewed. The remaining duration will still continue working as how it was, so the grace period still being applied. If you do not want that, you will need to edit the subscription, change subscription status to Expired manually
