Subscribers Purchasing Same Plan More Than Once

I'm having a problem trying to allow Subscribers to buy our solutions more than once. Our model is "Subscribers" purchase a software plan and then they also purchase hardware. The purchases are based on annual renewals.In almost all cases they need to purchase the same hardware more than once but as a registered user they cannot, they can only "Renew" an existing plan.

How do I create the ability to buy the same "Plan" more than once, maybe back to back by the same "Subscriber" and still have recurring subscriptions for each purchase in Membership Pro? Is there a compatible shopping cart Plugin perhaps?

Unfortunately, at the moment, Membership Pro doesn't support this feature. When people subscribe to the same plan again, Membership Pro will treat it as a subscription renewal, not a new subscription

I will consider adding a new config option to allow handling it. However, honestly, it might be hard and I am not sure what time it could be available, maybe in 6 weeks

So if you are in rush and need it right away, maybe you will have to find a different extension to use (and ask us for refund for Membership Pro purchase)

I see EShop has a Plugin for Membership Pro. Is this something that we can use for multiple purchases of the same items?
We have a lot of time in this effort to just refund Membership Pro and start from scratch, we need a solution to integrate.

Unfortunately, Eshop could not be used to handle this requirement. And I am afraid of other membership extensions also work in the same way with Membership Pro and could not be used for your requirement

Handle new subscription should be OK. However, the difficulty is handling the renewal. In case you subscribe for the same plan multiple times, it would be hard to determine when you renew, what subscription would be renewed

There is a product "Emerald" that we installed and it has exactly the feature we want, however your interface is cleaner, easier and your registration page is nicer too. Everything is better with Membership Pro except the purchase limits. Perhaps an option to allow "limits" or "no limits" to the purchase item as written in that would be a solution.

I'm keeping your product installed in hopes you find resolve. Let me know how it goes in the next few weeks, I'm standing by. : )

Has this been implemented since? I've run into the same problem. I have people who are purchasing subscriptions on behalf of their children. If they have multiple children, they will need multiple subscriptions, but the system is not letting them get more than one.

Unfortunately, this is still not supported yet. It is quite difficult to implement due to the way the extension works at the moment (subscribe again is treated as renewal)

Adding an option like this will change the behavior of the system and will require many changes to existing code

So to be honest, I won't have it supported in near future

Thanks for letting me know. I think I can do a workaround by using custom fields, so people can add second and third children to the same subscription.
