I've installed os membership with paypal, plans and joomlausergroups/acl connected to the plans.
We firsted tested with paypal and everything went well. Registration, payment, correct usergroups, correct acl.

Then we decided to work with offline payment. Subscribing to a plan now means, inactive joomla userid, status pending and incorrect joomlausergroups assigned. The actual idea is to let everything work as before (registration, correct usergroup/acl assignemnt etc). User subscribes, user can start to work and we send an invoice offline.

Is there any way to get this to work?

Hi Marie

In Membership Pro, when users use offline payment for the subscription, their status will be set to Pending. If you want to assign these subscribers to the Joomla groups, please go to back-end, access to Membership Pro -> Subscribers, edit the subscription record, change the status from Pending to Active.

After that, thing should work as expected

And you're my man of the day :-) it works. I was already looking for the modifications to make in the offline plugin. The new one had a duplicate OSMembershipHelper::sendEmails($row, $config); line which I removed (tell you just in case you post it to someone else too).

Ah Yes Marie. I would be happy if you submitted the modified file here so that in case someone needs it, he can simply use it (Although so far, after few years of Membership pro development, it seems you are the only customers asked for it :D )

Glad I found this topic! Great answer and help to my site!! I like this addition because it was the only way I could find that my users who were paying by mail could change their mind and upgrade to pay by PayPal.

One new question has now got my attention: if I let the Membership Pro automatically set the status to "Active" for the subscriber who is sending payment by mail, how do I indicate and send automatic email when I receive payment?

Before, an automatic email would go out indicating that I received the payment when I changed the user from Pending to Active.
