Yearly membership was created by Brian Lisle
Hi Tuan - we have a yearly membership plan (dues for our club) - no matter when you pay in the year, it expires at the end of the year. I currently set the expiration date as 12-31-14, but do I have to create a new plan for 2015? I'd like to have the members be able to just renew their membership (preferably before the end of the year) and it will keep their plan active, keep them in the ACL and ACY mailing list and reset their expiration date to 12-31-15. How would I do this?

Hi
Just setup it as how you are setting up at the moment and the system will control the proper expired date itself. For example if you set fixed expired date to 2014-12-31 :
- If users sign up in 2014, their expired date will be 2014-12-31
- If users sign up in 2015, their expired date will be 2015-12-31
- If users signed up in 2014, and renew it before 2014-12-31, the expired date for the renewal will be 2015-12-31
The extension does it job very well in this case, so you don't have to worry about it

Or would they just make a new subscription? (either way is actually fine, the cost is the same for us.)
Thanks!

If they renew in 2015 (after the subscription is expired) will it re-activate it with the new expire date of 2015-12-31?Tuan Pham Ngoc wrote: - If users signed up in 2014, and renew it before 2014-12-31, the expired date for the renewal will be 2015-12-31

=> Sorry, It was my typing mistake. You don't have to reset the expire data for the plan. The extension handle it automatically (and very well
)
=> Yes, correct. Infact, renew or sign up still give the same result
