Did this ever get fixed? How can we get the membership ID in the notification emails?

Yes. This feature is available now . To have this feature available on your site :

1. Login to your account, download latest version of the extension and upgrade it to your site .

2. In the email message, please use [MEMBERSHIP_ID] tag and it will be replaced with the actual membership ID of the subscriber.
