Unique value for members (members pro)

Hi,

I need something to identify members when they come in to a store, or attending an event. Is there any function for this with membership pro?
I
n CB i had to make a new field and get the [USER_ID] string, but i don't need all the other things CB can offer, and since i already use event booking membership pro could just be the product to paid membership.

Could you please explain more detail ? When someone subscribe to a subscription plan, he can enter username and password to register for a new account and his user id will be unique. Is that what you need ? And how do you want to use that information ?

Hi,

We are sending out member-cards to all our members. Therefor i need a unique numeric value to identify members.
The best solution would be a new field starting at 1000 for the first user 1001 for #2
An alternative is to use the userid from joomla.

I also need to display this data on users profile

In this case, I believe we will have to customize the extension to generate this unique value for each member. Also, we will have to write a CB plugin to display this number on the user profile. Will you be happy to pay us about 40$ for this development ?

Since i already paid for MP i guess i need to pay for some development.
CB has the feature to display fields from the DB on users profile, like i did with "[user_id]" do you still need to write a new CB plugin?

I think I can edit Membership Pro to allows generating an unique auto-increment number for each subscriber as you described. After that, we will find a way to display it in CB later.

You won't have to pay for this feature in this case . Just give me few more days to implement it.

Hi

The extension is now have feature which allows generating Membership ID automatically. If you want to use this feature :

1. Download latest version of the extension and upgrade it to your site.

2. Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, set Generate Membership ID config option to Yes.

3. Enter 1000 into Membership ID start number config option .

4. Go to Extensions -> Plugins manager, find and publish the OS Membership - Membership ID plugin.

After that, each subscriber will have an unique , auto-increment Membership ID as requested.

5. Next we will need to find a way to display this Membership ID in CB as you requested. Please contact me via Skype so that we can discuss about it.
