Last name prefix for Germanic languages was created by Eric de Waal
Hi,

In Germanic languages last names often consist of 2 parts: the actual last name and a prefix.
Example my own last name: prefix: "de",  last name: "Waal".
Or the  President of the European Commission : prefix: "von der",  last name: "Leyen".
In most countries last names are sorted without the prefix, so in a phone directory these are listed as "Waal, de" and "Leyen, von der".
Is it possible to ad a prefix field for the name?
And then concatenate first+prefix+last for the full name in Joomla users etc, but use the "Leyen, von der" notation in lists etc?

Best,
Eric

This would apply to many European languages, certainly Romance languages and Irish, where names are often sorted without Ó and Mac.
