Membership Pro version 2.17.2 released

Dear customers

Today, I am happy to announce the next release of Membership Pro, version 2.17.1 with the following improvements:

1. Two-ways data synchronization support for User Profile and Community Builder

As you already know, Membership Pro is integrated with User Profile and Community Builder. Until now, only changed from Membership Pro data is updated to User Profile and Community Builder, not vice versa. From this version, if you want, you can configure Membership Pro so that changed from User Profile and Community Builder will be updated back to all subscription records of that user in Membership Pro. To enable this feature:

- For User Profile, you need to go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, set Synchronize Profile Data To Subscriptions config option to Yes
- For Community Builder, you need to install and publish a Community Builder plugin as described in documentation membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/integr...ta#community-builder

2. Add Exclude Plan IDs parameter to plans list menu options

That's useful in case you want to hide certain subscription plans in the plans list. For example, you don't want the plan to be displayed but send direct link to sign up for that plan to users you want


3. Update user account email when admin update email for a subscription record

This is to make use the email is the same in user account and in subscription records when admin change user email via subscription

4. Some small bugs fixes

- Store payment_date and tax_rate for renewal subscription record. Also, store payment_date and an offline subscription record is approved/published
- Fix plan title displayed in wrong language on invoice (on multilingual website)
- Fix issue with ACYMailing version 6 plugin (causes by changes in ACYMailing 6 API latest version)

Some welcome changes but .................... can you expand on how the sync between EasyProfile and MP works.
Does it work for any field?

Does it work if profile fields are changed on site and through admin.

On site does it work if user changes their own profile? The note on MP config states it works if admin changes profile data.

I need to sync membership number to EasyProfile but that doesnt get listed in custom fields so I cant set up a mapping. Could that be resolved?

Hi Alan

At the moment, For Easy Profile, the changes is one way only. That mean the changes from Membership Pro will be updated to Easy Profile. However, the change from Easy Profile won't update Membership Pro subscriptions records data yet

That's something we can support for in the future if it's needed. Currently, two ways synchronization data (change from user account updates data in Membership Pro) is only supported for Joomla core user profile/custom fields and Community Builder only

What happens to the price of the subscription if for exemple, a CB field is updated and the corresponding Membership pro field is a fee field ? Is the total price updated ?

If you:

1. Map field between the two extension

2. Has the CB Plugin to update data installed

Then the data will be updated. The extension does not ignore fee field when update

Not to take anything away from all that has been done so far but it would be great if you could extend that two way sync for easy profile as well, so I am another one who would welcome this ☺️

OK Marck. I don't have much experience with Easy Profile but I will work on it and it's very likely that we will support it in the next release

Please, please can you add the ability to sync the membership number. It cant be configured at present as it doesn't show in custom fields.

Synchronize Membership ID with data from what extension? Joomla user profile, Joomla custom field or a third party extension?
