Custom Fields - Use Depend on option as in Event Booking was created by David Unwin
This is a follow up on topic
UK Gift Aid - PayPal
In Joon Donation it would be nice if we could set a custom field only to be shown on a certain condition.
In our case we would want users only to fill in their Address if they opted for Gift Aid option in another custom field
This feature is available in Event Booking.
How it works.
If user selects No to Gift Aid Option. User just has to enter basic details ie Name and Email.
However, if the user selects Yes, user has to enter their name and address.
Why do we want this? The reason is that if we want to claim gift aid from UK tax authorities, we have to provide name and address on the donor. If we do want or can't claim gift aid from this donor, we do not need address information.
At the moment we have to display address fields even if we are not collecting gift aid.

Hi David,
Actually, it's good idea, but quite difficult to implement. In Event Booking, for different events, users have different requirements and purposes, so they need a relationship / condition between fields. But with Joom Donation, the purpose of use is simple and clear, there won't be many requests / desires for conditional custom fields, so we can't do complex requests while we know for sure there aren't many customers need it, not to mention that there will be many potential bugs in bringing such a complex and difficult feature.
Thanks
Dam

I'd like this, too. I had seen it in Event Booking so assumed it would also be in JoomDonation.
