Hi there!
Here I´m having the same issue.. at least as far as I read I think so.
I´m running the donation component in joomla 1.6 for a multilanguaje site (english-spanish). When I tried to translate fron the administration of the component I got nothing, since I chage to espanish file and it does not create the file or let me change it. In fact when I tried to change something it show up, after save, as a blank text... quite weird I thought, so I got to the source of it
.
I copied the languaje english files and paste them in the right directory administrator/laguages/es-ES and rename the files en-GB.com_jdonation.ini to es-ES.com_jdonation.ini and the en-GB.com_jdonation.sys.ini as well. Then I opened the file and translate it directly...
Well it did not work at all. Although I have now the right files in the right directory when I go to the article (spanish) where I used the pluging for the donation forms it shows up in english... :dry: :blush:
So what´s wrong? I download the component some weeks ago so I guess that with the upgrade theat the administrator was talking about it will be fixed, and I already send a ticket to get the latest.... is there something else I can do? is kind of urgent :S .
Thanks!

Hi
I checked order and found that it is assocated to your account. So you can simply login, access to customer area -> order history to download latest version and upgrade to your site. After that, the issue should be solved !
Regards,
Tuan

Also, when you do the translation, please note the difference between language file format in Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.6 .
In Joomla 1.5, the format of a language item is
JD_LANGUATE_ITEM=Translated string
In Joomla 1.6, we need to surround the value of translated string by double quote character :
JD_LANGUATE_ITEM="Translated string"
If you translate it properly, everything should work fine !

So far I could say so good because now translation is working perfectly right, and thanks for the tip with the landuage files, that´s something I did not know.
Now my problem is even worst... Everything is set up, so I go to check and try out and make a donation...NOTHING HAPPENS When I press next buttom. It does check the mandatory fields, but after that it does not work! Something is not working right and I have latest version of joomla 1.6.6 installed.
This is the link so you can try out:
www.fundaciontierrasanta.es/index.php/en/?Itemid=527
Please let me know if you need access to check out please

Hi
I had a look at your site and found that you are using a JA template . This template runs on T3 framework and It has an option to compress all javascript file into one file and it seems this compression causes conflict. Could you please turn of javascript compress on the template ? After that, It should work fine .
If you don't know how to turn of this config option, submit a support ticket give me administrator account of your site so that I can have a look and change that config option for you !

Tuan

Nope it´s still not working ... I did what you told me, and the framework option for compressing the js script it´s set to no. This morning I tried out after the change with the other component tha tdid not work.. and it let me...
I´ve been fullfilling the right settings to donation components in order to try out... and it does not work.. After i press the buttom nothing happens...
I´m gonna submit a support ticket so I can give you farther details for an account so you may check it out yourself.
Thanks
