After playing a bit more with the options and stocks, i come back to edit my first post and clarify that this is not exactly a feature suggestion, but -unless i'm doing a mistake- is a must do for a smoothly functioning shopping cart. Following i explain what i mean:
Shop visitors cannot realise which products are available with the first view, not even after adding products to the cart.
The availability message is depended on the Quantity tab entered (back-end) of the main product. If the options have zero quantity, it is still displayed "In stock" in the front-end. Only when the customer starts the checkout procedure, gets the message saying some products might not be available.
Example:
I created a main product (a bottle of 250ml) with its options 500ml and 750ml.
I keep a 100 pcs stock of the 250ml but not stock for the others.
If i don't enter anything in the main Data Quantity tab, the message displayed is "Out of stock" for all.
If i input a number in that tab, displays "In stock" for all.
I place my stock for the product's options, and the availablility message (front-end) doesn't dynamically change according to the options selection.
So the customer continues shopping, but when starts the checkout gets the final message "some products are out of stock". This is very annoying because he hasn't been getting any warning message before, and he probably spent alot of time trying to build his cart.
I think the conclusion is that someone can create options only if he keeps a stock of all the alternate products, otherwise the shopping procedure might get very confusing and dissapointing for the customer. Only alternative i can think of, is creating a seperate product for each option...

Hello,
I believe it will be useful to be able to select the availability and stock statuses according to the product.
For example if i have two products, for one to be able to set availablility at "2-3 days" and for the other to set "1 week".
Thats when a shop has many vendors and each one of them could supply according to his own schedule.

Hi is there any updates to this? Manage to get a warning for low stock level? I just sent a support ticket, please advice, because I see this as an important feature for a merchant. Thank you for your time and attention.
