Avoid duplicate registrations with a field other than email was created by Imagine Creatividad y Tecnologia
Hello,
I see that the function "Prevent duplicate registration" works on the email field. Is it possible that a different field, in my case it would be a custom field, can be assigned to avoid duplicate registrations?

Hello

Unfortunately, it is not possible. The extension only prevent duplicate registration base on email or User ID of the user

I have another question: The function Prevent Duplicate only works by event? Can it work for all published events?

No, it only works for single events only. If you want it works for all events, maybe we have a solution for you by using unique validation rule for the custom field.

Basically, you can setup a custom field, set Server validation rules to unique. Then if someone uses certain value for his registration, other users could not use that same value again

Or in case user is logged in, you can use the plugin I sent here joomdonation.com/forum/events-booking/77...event-is.html#163804

Once he registered for one event, he is not allowed to register for other events anymore

Thanks, that solution would be great. I have no problem paying for the implementation since I am not clear about how to establish that validation rule.

In this case I could not use the plugin because users do not register to reserve an event.

If you want, you can submit a support ticket sending me super user account of the site. Then tell me the custom field which you want to be unique (prevent duplicate registration base on the value of that custom field). I will then update to latest package (which has this feature) and configure it for you so that you can test it
