This regulation applies here in Austria and, according to our Chamber of Commerce, throughout the EU—text to follow.
As far as I understand it—www.hebammenzentrum.at—there is no right of withdrawal if the service is tied to a specific date.
There is also no right of withdrawal in the following cases (§ 18(1)(2), (10); (2); (3) FAGG):
Services whose price depends on financial market fluctuations that may occur within the withdrawal period;
urgent repair or maintenance work, if the consumer has expressly requested the business to visit;
public auctions;
Services in the following areas:
Accommodation (for purposes other than residential),
transportation of goods,
rental cars,
delivery of food and beverages,
recreational activities,
if the contract specifies a specific date or time period for the performance of the service.
Note: The consumer must also be informed of the absence of the right of withdrawal prior to the conclusion of the contract or the consumer’s declaration of acceptance, in a manner appropriate to the means of distance communication used.
