Payfast payment gateway errors

I can only guess that maybe it is because the payment description is too long (over 255 characters)

Please go to Events Booking -> Translation, find the language item EB_EVENT_REGISTRATION , change it to a simple string like:

Payment For Registration #[ID]

That is to make sure the payment description passed to PayFast not too long and it might solve the issue

Could you try to ask for support from PayFast? It does not make sense while it works for some transactions but not others. There should be something from PayFast which shows the reasons of the error (they have data submitted to them, so they must know why it is failed)

Haven't had any luck with trying to troubleshoot this with Payfast support.
That's why I wanted to find out if any of the other users are facing this problem.

I had five registrations today and none of them went through.
They are all showing as incomplete on Event Manager.
My delegates are getting really upset.

You would need to try it yourself to see if you are being redirected to PayFast properly

If users are being redirected to payment gateway but do not make payment, we could not do anything here

Or at least you should contact them and ask them to see why they did not make payment, did them see any error....
