Event Registration For Existing Site Users was created by sohoerik01
We have 1.3.2 with the Joomla user plugin. The feature is active in the admin panel and visible on the front end.
When we test by registering for an event as a visitor with an existing user account (Joomla core) we enter the user name and expect that to be it according to the instructions.
Unfortunately it still asks for a first name and email address which seems redundant considering that is already in the Joomla user profile.
Additionally it asks for all required fields.
1) are we using this correctly or assuming it should work in a way it was not intended?
2) is it a bug?
3) are there required components/plugins beyond Events Booking and the Joomla user plugin?
How is this supposed to work?
Erik

Hello Erik,
There are two option for an existing user who wants to register for a new event.
1. The user logs in. The data of the fields that are already filled in at the previous registration are now auto filled in.
2. The user uses the registration form without login in. The user fills in the username and not the password. All the other field still have to be filled in. When doing so EB adds the registration to the account based on the username. When you use CB then in the event history tab (you need to have the EB plug-in installed) you can see the previous and the new registration. The same way it works when you use JS.
I presume that the fields that are filled in for the new event overwrite the data that is filled in the previous time. For example if the user has a got a new e-mail address. I didn't test it but its seem logical.
I hope this answers your question.
Kind regards,
Marcel
P.S Dutch, like me?

Yeah, that helps me greatly. I've done some tweaks to settings and now it is very clear how it is supposed to work. Thanks much.
Erik
PS: not Dutch but the K is a bit unique here in the states (the common spelling is with a C).
