Google map not showing

I am getting the error:

Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

Usually this means I need to get an API key from Google, I don't see a field for entering a Google Maps API key in the plugin or module.

Go to Events Booking -> Configuration, there is a config option called Google Map API Key. Enter the Key there and it should solve the issue

I have to pay for this feature now?
When i go to google api i have to create a google cloud platform account and the i have to put in billing information without knowing the prize ????

Google now requires a KEY for their API . Events Booking ships with a default API Key. With this key, Google will allows 25,000 map loads per day for all the websites which has Events Booking installed. That should be OK, however, if you are worry about this limit, please CLICK HERE to register for an own API Key, then enter the received key into this config option.

Since they allow 2,500 free requests per day , unless your site has very high traffic, I think you won't have to pay for this usage

Google Maps is broken for me too. My site is not high traffic, it previously worked fine, but now the maps will not load.

In short, you will need your own API Key now. You cannot use a shared API Key, as in case too many users use it, it will reach the limit given by Google API

You can follow the instructions at developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key , register for an API Key for your own account

For alternative solution, as of right now, we don't have it. I heard that there is another map service like OpenStreetMap

Guess we can try to look at it to see whether it can be implemented and use it. However, it will take time (at least 2 weeks). So if you don't want to register for new Google Map API Key, maybe you will have to disable Map for now

And to be more clear, Google requires you to provide billing information. However, for normal site, I don't think you will ever have to pay for it (only have to pay if you exceed their limit but for normal site, I think the limit they give you should be OK)
