No notification/registration for some registrants

I have some events where some registrants are not being logged. I get no notification that they registered and they don't show up on the Registrants list in Event Booking. However, I do receive the PayPal receipt that they registered and paid for the event. This is kind of hard to trace because most registrants for an event process just fine. Only a few are not being logged in the system. This issue is with several different events, on several different days but is seems to be inconsistent. From what I can tell there are about 10 out of every 50 who's registration don't show up. Any advice on how to find out what's going on & fix it?

I am having the same problem. It started on the 8th March and again seems inconsistant. I can see the PayPal recipt of the monies but it does not appear in my bookings.

I've posted this as a separate topic, but it is the same issue.

Anyone have subscriptions lost?

On March 7th it seems all the subcription (registrations) for our students seem to have been lost on the website. I was only alerted to this because one of the students brought this to our attention. PayPal confirmed that they made a payment, but the Membership Pro subscriptions and the back-end user account showed no activity/change. We had 2 students (the only 2 for that day) that this happened to.

No updates we made that day by myself, and no manual backup for that day (akeeba). The server host, however, does an automatic daily back up.

Any ideas where to start looking at this problem?

So far, during the registration period (8-days) no other subscriptions got "dropped".


NOTE: I had this happen once before but I thought it was because I had done an Akeeba backup the same day (and by chance I thought perhaps the client registered at the same time this was happening). It hadn't happened again until recently. I checked with my server host and they reported not activity on my site for that day.

I have had about 4 in 4 days out of 12 registrations. I noticed in another post there was some reference to a problem with PayPal with Eshop.
I have posted there to see if it is related?

Graham, that does look like the same problem. I just noticed that my 404 Error page has been hit over 12,000 times! I barely have that many visitors to the site! So It seem possible that PayPal is sending people to the wrong page. I did just update my Events Booking to 2.14.1 so I guess I'll see if there are any other missed registrations?

Can anyone from Events Booking confirm that this issue has been addressed with 2.14.1?

Yes.Events Booking 2.14.1 was released to address the same issue (same for Membership Pro 2.8.2).

Please update to latest version of these extensions to get this issue sorted

Tuan, I just found another registration that went to PayPal and did not come back to Events Booking. I updated EB to 2.14.1 since March 11 (3 days ago) and we received one from PayPal that came in last night but nothing from Event's Booking show's they're registered.

I just noticed this same problem! Not sure how many people have paid for my event and aren't listed as registered. This is not good.

I AM running version 2.14.1 and I'm using Authorize.net SIM as my payment solution.

Please go to Events Booking -> Registrants, find the config option Show Incomplete Registration Records, set it to Yes

You will then see these pending records to see whether you miss any registration records. Please note that when you set to Yes, there system will also show the registrants who try to register for the event but didn't make payment , too
