Just want to update that I added a config option to allow hiding the image on event detail page (so you won't have to hide it using css anymore - the image won't be loaded, so the page should be abit faster)
Just go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at Themes tab, find the config option "Show event image on detail page", set it to No and the image won't be loaded
