upgrading versions was created by morena
Hi
I have written to you before and you have told me that event booking needs to run on version 2.5.9. I am running wampServer which services PHP and iSQL Here PHP version is 5.3.0 and iSQL is version 5.1.36.
What version of PHP, iSQL and wampserver runs on joomla 2.5.9 ? Would it be best to upgrade to joomla 3.0?

Kind Regards,

Morena

Hi Morena

What's iSQL ? It seems Joomla doesn't support that type of database. You can use Joomla 2.5.9 or Joomla 3.0.x, Events Booking works with both of them.

Hi
I am aiming to upgrade joomla from 2.5.4 to 2.5.9 then 3.0. But first I've ran a backup of all the databases created on mySQL? backup the joomla environment running on 2.5.4.
Should I be backing up any other component? PHP's configuration? maybe? php,ini file

You don't need to backup PHP's configuration, php.ini. I would suggest you to use Akeeba backup to backup the full site.

well Tuan I uploaded Akeeba backup & it caused me problems where I couldn't access administration in joomla. I've used Akeeba backup on another site on my test environment (my laptop) and it worked.

Thanks anyway

Hi Morena

You just need to use Events Booking version 1.5.3. This version is compatible with both Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5.

What version of event booking is needed with joomla 3.0? I'm in the process of moving to joomla 3.0. I'm currently on joomla 2.5.9.

Please help as I need to be working on event booking before Monday.
