Custom fields not updating in Community Builder

Custom fields not updating in Community Builder was created by sreil123
Hello,
I've searched and scoured the forum for this, but didn't find anything, so if I am duplicating something, I apologize in advance. I added a single custom field in Events Booking and mapped it under Field Mapping to a field I added in Community builder. The new field shows up in both the event registration page and the Community Builder profile page. The issue I am having is that the value I enter in the field during event registration isn't being captured and displayed in the Community Builder profile.
I updated my table prefix after installing Events Booking, and thought that might be the problem, but I can't figure out if that is a setting I can change in Event Booking. But now that I think about it, I probably wouldn't see the custom CB field in the Event Booking custom field Field Mapping drop down if that was the case.
I am running Joomla 1.5.26 and Event Booking 1.4.4.
Your help is appreciated.

Hi
The extension only used data from Community Builder to populate the form fields on registration form automatically when a logged in user register for event (so that he doesn't have to type these information again). It doesn't update the data on Community Builder when registrant enter data on registration form, that's how it is designed to work .
Is it clear ?

Thanks for the clarification. I verified that if I fill out that field in Community Builder it is populated on the registration form. Thanks for the prompt reply!

is it possible to block these fields? So when a user is logged in, in the registration form the fields that are mapped show the community builder values and these values can't be modified/edited in the registration form? maybe it is possible to add a css class to it, but this is not possible for the standard fields?

The issue I have is that I have all the fields in community builder and they are all mapped correctly. These show up as auto filled during the individual registration which is perfect, however when I go to group registration, everything is blank and I have to manually fill in for each and every member I am registering even though this information is already on my profile!

Hi Andrew
As explained via Skype chat, the information from your profile can only be used to populate the Individual Registration + Group Billing page. It won't be populated on Group Members page because that page contains information of individual member in the group, so there is no reason for it to be populated by the current logged in user data .

Hi, I have the same problem: If a user modifies their details (eg updates their address) on registering for an event, they will assume their profile has been updated, but at present the mapped registration fields are not written back to the Community Builder table on event registration.

- Add a script to write the mapped fields back to the user's Community Builder profile on event registration, and if so, where would we put this?
or
- Prohibit editing of mapped fields on the registration form - we can then text to the registration page saying "if these details are no longer correct, please edit your profile and refresh this page before registering" with a pop-up/new window link to the community builder profile editor page
