Reminder Emails Not Working for events

Hey! I was currious if there is after our last call just a fix for the bug in reminder function. I'm really waiting for this important feature on my website.

Working on it right now. Will have it done today (it is being improved, no need for setup cron job...) . Will update this thread when it is ready !

Hi All

This feature is now working well without having to setup a cron job. Please follow the instructions below :

1. Upgrade your site to version 1.4.4 of Event Booking .

2. Install and publish the ebreminder plugin (plug_ebreminder.zip in the package) .

After that, everything will work as expected (will update the tutorial document soon with instruction).

How is this working exactly? Is it sending mail every time someone access any page on the site?

If we want to be sure reminders go out, should we just make a cron to load any page on the site, or is there a better way to set the cron?

Hi Tommy

It won't send emails everytime someone access to your site. It is designed to run every atleast 30 minutes (ofcourse, we will need to have someone to access to the site). Each time, the system will send emails to serveral registrants of events until the emails in queue are completed.

Will updating to 1.4.4 from 1.4.2 retain all existing events and registrants or will we have to re-create the events that are already live on our sites?

Hey. I only used the update that was still working for al my existing events. Reminder function works perfectly now.
