When Logged In Have First Name Field Blank? was created by lwatkins
We require all of our users to log in before registering. And we would like them to enter another name (their kids name) in the First Name and Last Name fields, but it pulls that information in from the Joomla installation. Something I would like on most of my websites, but not this one.
Our users can change the name, but weworry that some people will forget to change the name from their name to their childs name.
How would I get that field to not pull the data from the Joomla installation so they are forced to enter something in that field?

Hi
In this case, we will have to modify the code . Submit a support ticket give me FTP account of your site so that I can modify it for you .
Regards,
Tuan
PS : This modifiication will prevent you from upgrade to future releases, so should we wait until we release version 1.4.0 (beta version was sent to you via Skype) ?

Thanks so much for the offer. Now that I understand the mapping a little better I was able to do this on my own by going to the configuration and then fields mapping and deleting the data in the First Name and Last Name Box.
Then I added custom fields Parent's First Name and Parent's Last Name and mapped them to the community builders first and last name. Now the registered member of the website (the parents) automatially show in the parents fields and the enter the first and last name of their children and it shows in the back end under class registration the name of the child
Thanks!
Leisa

I take the last post back. I just upgraded to the latest version and it won't allow me to leave the field blank. Darn. Also, the upgrade deleted all the field mapping I had done earlier. They all default now to online status.
