Custom Fields linked to Event, NOT Category! was created by Kevin Morrison
I am finding it really strange that when creating a custom field I can only choose to attach it to a category and not to an event. These fields are shown on events, not categories and the option should be to be visible on an event. I have several events that can easily be put into a single category and the way the menu system is setup to get the view I want without having to create a special page to link to instead I have to do it that way. However since a custom field cannot be associated that way I am left with making an even more complex setup than is necessary. In all honesty only allowing a field to be setup to work with a category instead of to an event makes zero sense at all???

Hi Kevin
It's actually configurable. You can go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set config option Assign Custom Fields to category instead of to events to No and you will be able to assign custom fields to events

Tuan

Thanks, totally missed that parameter.
What you might consider doing as more a patch than anything is giving us a way to identify in the custom fields overview which event a custom field is assigned to. That would at least give a better idea at a glance what it is assigned to. I have a ton of fields and with the current system I am forced to create a field for every type I need and the only way to know what is going where is to open each field or going through the form and working through all the various options. Ideally what I have found on other event extensions I was able to just copy an entire form and then do some renaming and such to make it work for a different event that had similar field requirements. This extension has forced me to do a ton of additional work because of this hodgepodge way of managing custom fields.
