.class for the every first event

Hello!
I have the following question.

Is there a way to assign a .class to the every first event in a module?
I need every first event in the module to be with this uniqe class and have styles that are different from other events styles.
(But not with the :first-child in style.css)

Now I use "upcoming events" with "horizontal" template.
