Events Booking 3.12.2 released

Dear customers

Today, I am happy to announce new version of Events Booking 3.12.2 with the following improvements:

1. Zoom.us Integration

This version introduces a new plugin called Events Booking - Zoom. It allows registering registrants of an event to the corresponding zoom meeting or zoom webinar. You can even send the URL to join the meeting / webibar in the confirmation email send to registrants when they register for the event. See eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/plugins/zoom-integration for detailed documentation.

2. Condition Text Support

This feature allows you to show hide certain text in email message, in the invoice base on certain data of registrant. In the past, customers had requested us to show different text in the email depends on gender of registrant (collected using a custom field). It can allow helps you to show different text in invoice for example (with payment information) when status of the invoice is Pending... I will update documentation for this feature on tomorrow

3. Allow override javascript code

Sometime, you might want to override javascript code in the extension (for example, override code in validation engine to add your custom validation rule). This is now possible in latest version of Events Booking (documentation will come on tomorrow)

4. Some other small improvements + bugs fixes

- Allow hide thumbnail field on submit event form
- Support new page format USLETTER for ticket and certificate pdf (if you need a different format, just ask and I will try to support it)
- Show event date in [EVENTS_LIST] tag in the invoice when you use shopping cart

Looking forward to using the Zoom integration.

From your plugin instructions, can the tags:

• [ZOOM_START_TIME]
• [ZOOM_JOIN_URL]
• [ZOOM_TOPIC]

be used in any message type? Global or event specific messages?

You should use it on event specific messages only (which is integrated with zoom meeting or webinar)

For event without the integration, the data won't be available, so the tags won't be replaced and it would be confusing for your end users

Setting up new recurring events throws an error in this release:
DB-table eb_events remains correct, but the correlation-table eb_event_categories is filled with thousands of new entries.

Maybe it's something wrong with your setting of the events. Could you please attach a screenshot of your recurring settings so that we can check it?

With that recurring settings, there will be so many events created (each day for an event until the end of year (about more than 200 events)

So if the event is assigned to multiple categories for example, there are many records in eb_event_categories table is expected behavior.

Do you know exactly what's wrong?

No, I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong.

Every event only has one category.
So there should be as many entries in eb_event_categories as in eb_events.

Unfortunately, this is not the case...
