Product Option can still be added to cart even if option quantity is set to zero

For a product with 2 size options, if set

Stock Checkout = No

and the quantity for one of the size option to zero, we expect that the specific size option with zero quantity will not be available for "Add to Cart". But we do see both size options are all available for "Add to Cart".

How to make a out-of-stock size option not be available for "Add to Cart"?

Hello Caroline,

Thank you for submitting the ticket here. Actually, customers can still add it to the cart but he will see an warning on the cart to tell that that product is out of stock so they can not checkout.

Thanks for replying on this.

We tried it but the shopping cart does not show any warning message. I am attached a doc with some screenshots.

Is there any configuration settings we missed?

    Hello Caroline,

    Please go to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Option tab, at "Show Out Of Stock Warning", choose Yes, then Save the Configuration and test again.
