membership pro and groups

i see eshop can add users to various eshop  groups from membership pro groups 

what happens when the membership in MP expires, does the user get removed from the corresponding group in eshop?

Interested in this as well as we have a yearly member subscription in membership pro and offer a discount in Eshop for those members, if their subscription expires in Membership Pro and their group is changed and it is not changed in Eshop then they can still use the discount.
If the import is run again does it update the existing customer entries in the Eshop ? i.e. if their group has changed does it change the group in the existing entry ? or does it write a new entry ?

Did more investigation into how the plugin works in conjunction with the above setup and it seems to update the Eshop customers. See this thread for an explanation of how we think it works   Membership Tool
