Self download link not working

download self redirecing to /download page

Hi Jacob,
As i understand, you add the document into article, right? How did you add the link to article? Using Edocman content link plugin or using Edocman Editor Xtd plugin?
I don't see the link (to download documents) in the article, so i am not sure about it.

We use html text into sp page builder
We used same on another J4 website where its working fine. this site is on J5 using same extension and data but stopped working here.

The request on live on click is 303 and on site where having issue its 200 redirected to another /download page.

Hi Jacob,
You should make sure the download links is correct before you add them into article. Have you tried to open download links directly?
For example, i try the direct download through this link: gdv8webstage.guardiandigital.com/index.p...cument.download&id=3 and the file can be download well.

file download is working.
The issue is self download not working.
When u tried download u can see it opened another new page that should not be as per feature of extension.
I am not sure what elese info need to share on this.
did u tried click on download brief button? is it allowing you to download without reloading the page.
Issue is page navigate to /download

This is strange problem, i don't see any difference point here. In this case, could you try to use target="_blank" in <a> tag to open the download url in different window. Thus, you will avoid the white blank page issue happen on current page.

could you fix the instead as its a bug
we have live site where its working and in J5 it stopped
target blank will make it functionality difference.

Hi Jacob,
To solve the problem, you should upload file instead of entering file url for that document. When you enter file url for document, when you click on Download link, it will open "file_url" instead of downloading it.
