Hi,
If you are using Joomla4, you just need to publish the Joomla finder plugin: Edocman, and then, running indexing in Joomla Smart search component.
After that, at frontend, user can search through documents in Edocman normally.
Thanks
Dam

As I was not satisfied with the result, I opened additionally the EDOCMAN search module and used the specific search area. I can find the uploaded and indexed pdf documents, but the search does not show the contents of the pdf documents. Please advice.

On the website of the Historical Society there are a number of subjects which can be searched for: 1. Text in Articles for which we use the Joomla Smart Search, 2. Scanned articles in pdf format for which we use Edocman, 3. lots of collected images including explaining text, collected in Virtuemart Categories and Articles. Virtuemart is as well in transition from version 3 to 4. We are looking for one al encompassing Joomla 4 search solution.
