Role based access - only view was created by Nagendra
Hi, I need only view access rights of pdf document. no download or print to public users or a group. There is download restriction option is there with password but while viewing, there is download icon appearing through that we can download the restricted file.

can you please provide any solution for it.

Hi Nagendra,
Actually, when user can view the document, they will able to download it also. So, we don't have solution to allow user to "view" documents only.

Appreciate for your prompt reply Dam. but if we can restrict print button on preview window, can resolve the issue. there are some confidential document which we want provide to view rights only, neither print nor download.

Hi Nagendra,
I am afraid that we aren't able to prevent user from downloading files. In some browsers, the files will be downloaded (to desktop) for viewing instead opening it on browser directly.

Nothing difference here, Google Drive is just storage, user communication is still managed by Edocman.

Through this a use can view/read the pdf file but can't download. Like this in future if can develop will be very useful.

Hi Nagendra,
Your suggestion is good, i will implement that feature as soon as possible. You can go ahead to purchase Edocman license, and i will send you new Edocman version with View option only soon.

i am using 1.17 version, do i have to buy new version or you will send patch file to it. If new version, than please let me know after your enhancement will buy again.
