Doubling the Php memory limits and just trying the one larger file doesnt make any difference, still getting all those errors, i think it might be down to the quality of the pdf's i have tried an equally large one that isnt a scan and that works fine so most likely just this.
I would be interested to try Edocman when i get these scans right, as i assume that would reproduce the scans into a joomla document ? You should make more of the link between the two extensions on your site, i would like to see how they work together.

Hi Richard,
I don't think so, because the Indexer function already index content of larger files than your. I believe the issue comes from your server setting. Could you please try to install your site on localhost for testing with those files?
By the way, there aren't difference between the indexing function of PDF Indexer and Edocman extensions
Thanks
Dam

Ok thanks, it seems that better quality pdf scans do work fine though, im not worried by this now thanks for help.
I do wonder if i should have bought the edocman extension instead though - i am not clear at all from looking at the site why i would want one and not the other - if they are essentially the same can you make a comparison chart or similar?

Hi,
Edocman is documents manager and file downloads extension. Edocman has Indexer function (like PDF indexer), but in Edocman, you can only index (read PDF content and store) one document on one time while PDF Indexer can index a lot documents one one time.
Thanks
Dam
