I would like to find a way to "read" the pdf's a bit better than just open them when the search has been completed. (which this extension does really well)

Do you have any idea of an extension that might be be able to take over the reading of the search result that pdf indexer does?

Hi Richard,
Actually, when PDF Indexer indexes content of PDF files, the format of indexed content will be raw text (no style), they are very ugly. So that, we don't want to show content of indexed data at front-end, and they can only be used for searching.
Thanks

Hi,
Could you please increase value of PHP variable: memory_limit and max_execute_time
because with bigger PDF files, we will need high memory and longer time to index content of them.
Thanks

Ok will look at that.
What should the config be set at where it says : "these documents belong to: and i can choose None or com_edocman

if i choose the latter i get

Table 'archive_bideford.#__edocman_documents' doesn't exist

do i need to create a database table? which setting should i use? there isnt anything on the docs page.

thanks

Hi,
When you integrate PDF Indexer with Edocman extension, PDF Indexer will able to index content of documents in Edocman extension. If you don't have Edocman extension installed on your site, you don't need to select option to integrate PDF Indexer with Edocman
Thanks
