Search Categories in Admin Panel was created by Adam Becker
I am having a problem with searching the subcategories on the admin pages of Edocman.
When we try to search for text in a subcategory, it returns no results. Attached screen shot shows behaviour. I have change the Max-Level to each of the options and no results are return with any setting.
I am not sure if I have messed the data somehow - we imported categories via MySql from an external source. All other functions of edocman etc are working.

Thank you for your reply, and apologies for not getting back to the topic earlier.
A client has over 250 categories. Knowing the parent category of the search parameter makes it hard to find something.
Is this something that might be fixed in a future release, or I am missing something that makes this behaviour important.
Kind regards,
Adam

Dam,
We need this corrected as well. This was the issue I wrote about in my Forum Topic #70747 last year. What we need is the behavior that the Category Filter search had in EDocman 1.5.2 where the search was against all categories. Please change the behavior so that if a parent category is not selected, then the Filter search searches against all the categories. The Documents Filter works this way, so we need the Category Filter to work the same way as the Documents Filter does.
I've attached a document that shows an example of what we need.
Thank you very much,
Kent
