I'm also interested in migrating from Docman to EDocman. Plan to migrate my Joomla 2.5 site with Docman 1.6, before I migrate to Joomla 3.4.
Do you have a script or plugin to use?

M
Hi Matts
As I don't have Docman version 1.6, It will be very difficult for me to work on the migration script. Could you please send me a copy of your Docman database so that I can check it with the migration script I am having and then send it to you once it is working? I can work on it and get it implemented this week for you

Tuan

Noel Dixon wrote: Hi
Is there any update on if a migration script will be available for J3.4.x, with Docman 2.x to eDocman 1.6.x ?
Because it isn't available at the moment, I will have to write my own mysql script to do the migration work for 1000+ files/categories/documents.
Kind regards,
NMD
Hi Nick
Right now, we only have migration script for Docman 1.x, we don't have the script for Docman 2.x, so it will take time to implement. I am afraid of we could not have it ready in less than two weeks (as we have to work on other things at the same time), So if you can work on it yourself, that would be great

Great!
Of Course can I send you the Docman db tables, how do I send them you?
I don't want to attach them as a file in the forum.

Here is the updated component (Matts used to migrate the data already). Here is the instructions to use it to migrate data from Docman 1.x to EDocman:
1. Import your Docman database to your current site database .
2. Install this component
3.Access to this migrator component -> Configuration, make sure you make the correct settings
4. Then you can start migrating categories, documents from Docman to EDocman
Please try and let me know if you need any more assist

Just wondering if anyone has made any progress with a migration script for DOCman 2 to Edocman? I too have a site with over 1000 categories to migrate...
Thanks
