Migration from Docman to EDocman was created by Jan de Groot

Hi there,
Is it possible to convert from Docman to EDocman? I purcchased EDocman and will have to migrate my Docman-files. Is there a simple way to do it?

Hi Jan

The question is what Docman version you are using? If you are using Docman 2, then we haven't had migration script yet. If you are using old version of Docman, we might have migration script to help you

Your new site will be Joomal 3 website, correct ? Do you mind sending a copy of your Docman database so that we can test the migration script before sending it to you ?

I have a similar request. I have DocMan v1.4.2.stable on a 1.5 site and need to migrate documents to eDocMan (Joomla 3).

Hi Matt

We have a migrator, but right now, it is not compatible with Joomla 3 yet. I will try to spend sometime next week to make the migrate works with Joomla 3.

I will update this forum thread when it is completed. Maybe you will have to wait until Friday or Saturday next week

I am wondering if you were able to finish the migration script. We have a lot of documents to migrate. A migration solution would be very helpful.

Hi!

I'm also interested in migrating from Docman to EDocman. Plan to migrate my Joomla 2.5 site with Docman 1.6, before I migrate to Joomla 3.4.
Do you have a script or plugin to use?

Hi

Is there any update on if a migration script will be available for J3.4.x, with Docman 2.x to eDocman 1.6.x ?

Because it isn't available at the moment, I will have to write my own mysql script to do the migration work for 1000+ files/categories/documents.
