Selecting category in menu item was created by Dominik
Hello,
I don't know if there was this request earlier but after using eDocman for managing and linking to menu items more than 430 categories, I found very inconvenient that if You create menu element and select it's type to, for example, category layout You have to scroll through the dropdown in search for the existing category. What I would like to request is changing it so it'll look like selecting the single article menu type where You can choose category, edit it when it is selected or create it. This way creating links to category will be much more convenient and allow to create menu item AND category on one screen.

Hi Dominik,
We see the trouble when selecting category in menu parameters form, especially when your Edocman has a lot of categories, we will update the menu parameters form (based on your idea) in next Edocman version.
Thanks
Dam

Mr. Dam,

I've done this yesterday but unfortunately I got a bunch of errors when I wanted to access categories. I will try to repeat the process today and check if I get the errors.

If I encounter errors what should I do to help You get it fixed?

You can re-download and install latest Edocman version. If you have any issues, please submit ticket on category: Edocman and provide your site credentials. I will check the issue for you.

I upgraded it without problem this time. Now selecting the category is way more convinent, thank You!
I don't want to be greedy but creating new category from menu creation would be an awesome addon as well

I also really need an option in the menu item to select multiple categories and subcategories at the same time. I look forward to the optimization of the Document Search page as soon as possible.

Thanks
