EShop version 3.9.0 released

Dear Customers,

Today, I am happy to announce the next release of EShop Shopping Cart extension, version 3.9.0 with the following great new features / improvements:

1. Google Analytics 4 ready.

Previous versions of EShop supports two Google Analytics methods are "Classic Google Analytics" and "Universal Analytics". From this latest version, we added the latest method is "Google Analytics 4". So if you have a Google Analitics 4 account and want to have an analytics service to measure traffic and engagement across your store, then it is ready for you to use now.

To use Google Analytics 4, please go to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Option tab, under "Google Analytics" section:

- At "Tracking ID", enter your Google Analytics Tracking ID.
- At "Tracking Type", select Google Analytics 4.

2. Manage Store Improvments.

- Add feature to remove product option images. So if a product option value has already had an image, you can remove it now if you don't want to use it anymore.
- Add Customer Group filter option in Customers Manager. So you can select to see list of customers in a specific customer group.
- Better ordering of the filter dropdown lists in Products Manager: So the ordering of categories filter list, manufacturer filter list is getting from the Configuration.
- Show Update Message on top of Dashboard.
- Copyright, Help pages improvement.
- Fix Joomla Menu style in EShop pages issue.
- Improve Filters bar section layout in all views.
- Exports view improvements.

3. Fix some issues on PHP 8 and Joomla 5.

There are some minor issues / warnings on PHP 8.2 and Joomla 5 when Joomla debug mode is enabled. They are all fixed on this version of EShop.

4. Category Layout Improvement.

Sometime, the products have the different length of short description so the products list of Category layout is not displayed well. So we add some CSS Style to make it look better.

5. Item Shipping Plugin Improvement.

Add a new parameter called "Addtional Quantity Cost" to add calculate shipping cost from the second quantity of product. So if quantity of product A in the cart is 5. If shipping cost of product A is 10 and you entered 2 for "Additional Quantity Cost", then total shipping cost = 10 + 4 * 2 = 18.

6. Some other bug fixes / improvements:

- Option to collect User IP address or not.
- Fix the issue of filter attribute when attribute value has special character as double quote.
- Fix coupon code issue.
- Fix edit product issue.
- Fix small issue of character limit of the short description in mod_eshop_product.

So please upgrade EShop to the latest version 3.9.0 to have these new features and improvements.

Class BaseDataBaseModel not found

 

Hello Matj,

Thank you for reporting. This is just a small issue on Joomla 3. I just updated the package again to resolve it. Please update EShop again, then the problem will be gone.

I see no change, some short descriptions are 5 words some are 13. When I get the 13, it makes the product below look not in line. Any idea?

It maybe caused by cache or CSS conflict from the template that you are using on your site I guess. Please submit a new ticket to EShop category to send me the super admin account to your site so I can help you to check.
