Error when installing Square Plugin

Hi there. 

I'm trying to install the Square plugin and am getting the following error message. 

JInstaller: :Install: Can't find Joomla XML setup file.
Unable to detect manifest file.

This suggests this plugin isn't compatible with Joomla 5? Is that correct? How can I get this working with the latest version of Joomla?

The payment plugin is managed within the extension. So if you use Membership Pro for example, go to Membership Pro -> Payment Plugins to install it. See docs.joomdonation.com/membershippro/basi...l-new-payment-plugin for instructions
