Membership and Eshop questions was created by TheAnt
Hello
I didn't quite understand how Membership Pro and Eshop interact. The documentation only talks about a plugin that assigns clients to a user group. Let's take the example of an ecommerce that sells paper books, ebooks, and subscriptions to access restricted site content. If a customer wants to buy a book (to be shipped), an ebook (to be downloaded) but also a subscription, does he place the order through Eshop or through Membership Pro? Or does he have to place two separate orders? It would be like having two separate stores on the same site.
What I understand is that Membership Pro assigns the customer to a particular user group, but couldn't this function be integrated into Eshop so that there is only one extension and one management of orders and customers?
Another question is about PayPal payments: is it possible to set up recurring payments in Eshop?
thanks

Hello Antonio,

Actually, we also have another plugin to integrate Membership Pro and EShop called "EShop - Membership Pro Plans plugin". This plugin is used to add customers as subscriber of plans when they purchase products. So once this plugin is enabled, if you edit a product (Example product A) in EShop, you will have the option to map the product with corresponding plan (Example plan B ) in Membership Pro.

Then when customers purchase product A in EShop, they will be added as a subscription to plan B of Membership Pro automatically. And all of the products in EShop must be purchased / checkout in EShop, plans in Membership Pro can be still subscribed by customers in Membership Pro separatedly.

By the way, Membership Pro supports recurring payments while EShop does not.

I hope my explanation is clear. I also gave you the coupon code via your ticket to purchase both of our extensions. Please following up there too.

Thank you!

Sincerely, Giang

Very good, thank you.
I will wait for the migration tool from J2Store to test extensions and plugins.
