Looking for a replacement was created by Paul Schmehl
We have been using MediaStore for our bookstore:
www.vvfh.org/index.php/books/e-bookstore
It doesn't look like they are actively maintaining the software, and we need to migrate to Joomla 4. So, I'm looking for an alternative. Is it possible, with this software, to "price" some items as free yet require that you are a registered member before you're able to download the pdf?
You can see how the current setup works by going to the link and poking around.

- If they are members, they can download the book for free ?

No. I don't want anyone to be able to download books, free or paid for, unless they are registered. Once they are registered and login, then they can either buy books that are available or download the free ones without paying..
However, if they are not logged in, they should be able to see the books and read the previews so they can decide if they would like to buy some.

Ah, Yes. It is supported. You just need to set Download Free Documents and Purchase Documents config option to Registered instead of Public and it will work exactly as you want
